Based on a poem by
Hafiz, this series of self portraits, narrate the story of an immigrant woman,
the photographer, who is suffering from the pressure of being away from her
country, family, friends and everything she knows. At the beginning she
imprisoned her self at home, not accepting the new society and the new country,
but eventually she stepped outside into the natural environment where she finds
peace and calmness. Hafiz told her: "You cannot find the truth inside a
convent, step out of it if you are searching for something." This is what
he told her in Persian:
ز کنج صومعه حافظ مجوی گوهر عشق"
